Don’t miss this occasion!

Located in Sint-Katelijne-Waver, Belgium, the Research Station for Vegetable Production (Proefstation voor de Groenteteelt) is a leading practical research institute dedicated to advancing open-field and greenhouse horticulture. With a strong focus on innovation, the research station bridges the gap between cutting-edge technology and day-to-day farming practice.

As an applied research hub, the Research station develops, tests, and demonstrates new solutions in mechanization, digitalization, automation, irrigation management, and sustainable crop production. Its Hortivec Experience Centre provides a unique environment where growers, technology developers, and students can experience novel tools and systems under real-life conditions—ranging from robotics to advanced sensing and decision-support technologies.

By combining scientific expertise with hands-on validation in field trials, the Research Station plays a key role in accelerating the adoption of smart-farming innovations across the horticultural sector. During the BrIAS congress, participants have the ability to visit the Research Station to explore its facilities, research, and ongoing projects driving the future of smart agriculture.
